September 2006 Trip to Asia
Hong Kong

The views from the SupportPlus Office are simply breathtaking.

Here we met Jaap of SupportPlus in his superb office near the convention centre.

Our first port of call was Hong Kong

Jo (Jaap's PA) organised our trip to the factory in China.

Whilst in Hong Kong we took the tram to the Peak.

Where we gorged ourselves on fresh prawns at the newly opened Forrest Prawn restaurant.

Of course we had fun teasing the waiters with the stop and run signs.

Shenzhen
20 Years ago Shenzhen was a tiny fishing village and now it is a growing metropolis and is home to a number of factories making all kinds of electronics.

Our main reason for going to China was to visit Shenzhen where SupportPlus has just opened an office

The first sign we saw when we caught the tram for Hong Kong to Shenzen was a sign saying "100% made in Europe" which seemed ironic as we are so used to seeing Made in China.

The SupportPlus Office is in a magnificent building.

Colin was so happy to find an internet connection he immediately plugged in.

Again the views from the SupportPlus office were magnificent.

In the Shenzhen Office Colin met JoAnne and wished that he could have invited her back to the UK to present the keyviewer on QVC. Her personality was infectious and her command of English was fantastic.

We then moved onto the E-Fortune factory.

Cecelia showed us around the factory.

Shanghai

We moved on to Shanghai where SupportPlus made us very welcome allowing us to use the company apartment of th 18th Floor of this building

We dined on the balcony of the apartment with magnificent views over the river.

Jim Denoon (Right) SupportPlus project manager for the keyviewer was a great host and recommended all the best sites in town.

We went to the 88th Floor of the Jin Mao Tower to see the sites of Shanghai by night.

The Jin Mao Tower has the Grand Hyatt hotel occupying the 53-87 floors. You can look down from the 88th floor to the lobby of the hotel on the 53rd floor.
